Don't forget to take photo's-check!

I was looking around my house the other day of all the pictures of my Mattie (Great Dane). She was my test subject for everything and learned to pose so well for the camera. Since she left in Nov. I have not felt the need to take down the images but wondered if Zee was feeling left out. I have heard some of my mommy clients say that baby #2 has not had as many pictures as baby #1 has had. Well why is that? Are we pictured out or tired after chasing two around that we forget to schedule a shoot or leave our cameras behind. I doubt that Zee will notice that he is not up on the wall but I tell my mom's don't leave the second and third out from having their time in front of the camera. They will grow up wondering where all their photos are! Here are some new images of Zeelo my mini Bully. He would not look at me and when he did he came back with a big leaf-go figure. I want a sweet one of him looking at the camera so I will be back at it soon. ZP ZP

Inspiring to try new things

So many things here recently have jumped out at me and inspired me to be a better person, try new things, and block the fear of stepping out of the box. I was sent a blog/website sent from an amazing girl I met this summer who was an intern at the company I was working for. She reminded me of my younger days when getting older seemed so far away. Anyway, it takes me back to the saying-people come into our lives for a reason! She is definitely someone I needed in my life and continues to inspire me every day. Here is a website she sent me if your looking for a new you or possibly looking to be inspired-check it out!! Charade Style

Family

Believe me I hear this all the time...."I am so sorry do other kids act like this on picture day?" Yes, yes there are some days when the KS wind is blowing, kids are going crazy, and mom & dad are about to scream because kids are going crazy. Pictures for me are in the moment when we have to take some time for a snack, a fall, a meltdown what ever the case. I might not be a mom but I know how it goes, patience patience and a few gummy worms in this case. I will probably hear from K on this one and can see it in her face in the family shot. They are running towards me, freeze and I am clicking away hoping to capture one smile, mom's face says it all-did we get one?? Oh and I had to post one showing off the skinny jeans that I can't seem to pull off, love those!!

She seriously grabbed her drink, the whole bag of gummy worms and ventured off to her own area far away from the rest of us, makes me smile!

Family

A shoot from this fall along with a new baby sister. Love these girls so I had to put one of all of them! Dad, well this was my favorite from the shoot just him and his newest little one. It is great to have shots that are not posed, when you don't know the camera is clicking away. It makes my job fun as well when I come home and sit down to see what I captured behind the lens. I hope to see these girls again soon, maybe some warmer weather. However lately we have been spoiled with 55 degree temperatures.

babies

I was flipping back through some of the images from this summer and realized I forgot to post a new baby. Also had her 3 month pictures this fall. She is the sweetest little thing and so much hair, probably the most I have seen on a newborn. Then one from her 3 month session that I love. She was the first to try out my new antique or should I say vintage, chair!

Oh and one of the both of us. Thanks to my friend Gwen and her son for helping me with Christmas photos this year. I would not have had any with my dog looking at the camera!

Ahhh hello 2012...

Blog I have not been around to keep up with you so I came back to tell you that you have been missed. It has been a busy past couple of months for me which included a job change back in June. I left home and was living in Salina for 4 months which felt like 6 months maybe 10. I should have been writing with all my trials of starting a new job and being away from home. It wasn't good for me to say the least but then again leaving home for that long never is. I was fortunate to have my grandmother back here in Wichita to help me with my Mattie (Great Dane) and keep me posted on how she was doing. That was hard as well to leave behind my child as it was not something that was in the job description so I would have never taken it knowing what I know now. Isn't that always the case? People the grass is not always greener on the other side, well we live and we learn!! I was able to ask the hotel about taking Mattie with me to stay for the last two months which thank goodness I did. We enjoyed our evenings together and she was the one good thing I had to come back to at the end of the day. I returned home around the end of Oct. to squeeze in a few families I had promised xmas card pictures to along with a few others that I need to post.

I ended up losing Mattie the 2nd week in Nov. which took a toll on me and then the ever so busy season of getting through the holidays. So here we are 2012 with so many images to share along with pictures of my new puppy which came out of living in Salina. Mattie and Zeelo were together for 4 short weeks and I was so thankful to have him to come home to after a long night at the Emergency Vet. As the saying goes I truly believe things happen for a reason even though we might not always know the hows or whys. To new friends, new images, already new babies on the way with a maternity shoot today (looking forward to sharing), and to new experiences. If I didn't see you this summer due to my schedule or this fall please give me a call to get on the books for 2012 spring/summer! I look forward to seeing you soon. If you are here reading this please join my blog to follow my images. I want to say it emails you if I have posted something new. Shelly can you help with this?? :)

Little ones

This was an early summer that is much overdo on posting. Little K, is getting to be such a big girl and so so pretty just like her mom! I am posting some of her signature look, which is tongue out-no smiles. Have been playing with the filters some and I love the blue tint with her and mommy.

Little ones

All little A felt like doing was running and running so we chased him back and forth. So fun at this age when they are learning to walk/run and then boom a crash! These are my favorite shoots even though Mom and I are beat trying to capture their personalities on the go. You have seen this little man before and this was his year shoot from early summer.

fall family

A good friend of mine from high-school recently got back in touch with me, yes we can thank facebook for that! She is now living in TX but was planning to be home and we scheduled some time for family pictures. Her boys are so so cute! I had met the oldest when he was just a baby. The youngest was very serious and we couldn't get him to laugh for the life of us. Somedays that is just how it goes! There is one more of little P on my website opening page that I love, the fall colors blurred in the background. Thank you for coming to see me and having me take these for you, you have been missed!
